Founded by Mr. Charlie See, the Miss Tourism Queen International Pageant is one of the largest and oldest tourism themed pageants in the world, with China as one of the favorite host country of the pageant. With the mutual benefit between Miss Tourism Pageant and Tourist City, this event attracts full support from different circles in the society, and the special involvement of the press and TV media. With around 250 press coverage and over 50 TV networks broadcasting, Miss Tourism Queen International serves as an international platform for the involved regions, business brands, tourist cities, tourist products, and fashion and luxury goods. Some of the past Philippine representatives to MTQI include Miss Justine Gabionza who won the title in 2006 and Bb. Pilipinas Tourism winners, Isabela Manjon in 2011 and Cindy Miranda who emerged as finalist and winner of Miss Tourism Ambassador-Asia and Best in Attitude in 2013. At this early, plans are currently being finalized by the Queen of the Philippines Foundation, Inc. and La Unica Events Management to hold a National Pageant Search next year to select the succeeding official Philippine representative to Miss Tourism Queen International Pageant in the years to come.
