WAYS ON HOW TO RELAX YOU MIND

You might be finding it hard to juggle your time doing a lot of things now that many are in work-from-home set up. While doing your usual house hold chores you also have to think of your work. Plus, the stress brought by the pandemic has greatly affected one’s mental health.

Here are the ways on how to relax your mind
  1. Do breathing exercise: Find a spot in your house where you can focus. You can sit or you can lay down on your bed or on the floor. Close your eyes to avoid any destruction. Remove everything in your mind and focus only on your breathing. Breathe in at the count of three and breathe out at the count of another three. Do these five times repeatedly until you are relaxed.
  2. Release the physical tension: There are times that our tiresomeness is manifested on our physical activities. We often feel muscle and joint pains in our body which indicates a physical burn-out. Those pains can actually affect your mental focus.  You can ease all these physical tensions by doing yoga. Try to stretch your body once in a while. You can do stretching while sitting by lifting your arms above your head, stretching sideways, and stretching backward and front. Do all these for a set of eight counts. Shaking your hands can relax your hands and circulating your head can ease back pain and head ache.
  3. Express your thoughts: Others find it a way to at least lessen their bothersome by writing down the thoughts in their heads. When you are at work, you do not have anyone to talk to, so writing the things that are bothering you or to just express the things you want to tell can at least divert your attention for quite a moment. Diverting your attention into writing will give you a feel of less exhaustion from the dreadful effects of over working.
  4. List down your work: There is more to prioritize if you plan what you will do for the day. By listing down the things you will do for the whole day will give you a direction on what to accomplish. This will make you more organize. By being more organize with what you will do, it will give you a peace of mind. Imagine crossing out those things that you have already accomplished will give you a convincing feeling of a productive day unlike thinking of what you will do next and recalling what you will have to do--- that is time consuming and bothersome.
  5. Take a break and interact: Remember you are work-at-home. You can also have a time to break. While taking your snacks or after you are done attending your personal necessities, you can also have time interacting with the members of your family or with your friends. Giving your time to chit chat with other people will give you a moment of not thinking about work which is actually bombarding you.
  6. Smile: Despite the workloads that you have to finish, never forget to smile. Smile will give you a positive vibe. Laughing, as they say, is a medicine. Have yourself a dose of smile which will give you a feeling of relief that can ease both tension that you feel mentally and physically.
