By Shane Tanayer After two weeks of discovering fun in the Philippines, Mister International pageant on its 10th year, crowned its firs Swiss titleholder, Pedro Mendes. Mister International 2014, Neil Perez of the Philippines, awarded the new winner at the pageant's finals night last Monday, November 20 which was held at the Performing Arts Theater in Resorts World Manila. The road to the finals has never been this tough. This batch of candidates was definitely one of the best best in the history of Mister International. Joining Mendes were Anderson Tomazini of Brazil, 1st runner-up; Sang Jin Lee of Korea, 2nd runner-up; Julian Torres of Panama, 3rd runner-up; and Jakub Kraus of the Czech Republic, 4th runner-up.
While Reniel of the Philippines was sad about not getting into the Top 5, he said he was still thankful. "Sa lahat po ng mga sumuporta sa'kin, para sa mga Reingers, sa lahat ng mga taong hindi nagsasawang magbigay ng pagdadasal at pagmamahal sa akin... siyempre lalo na sa yung family ko laging nandiyan para sa akin, thank you so much kasi hindi niyo ako pinabayaan lagi kayong nagdadasal para sa akin. Thank you, thank you, I love you." After the pageant, Pedro said through a translator that his win hasn't sunk in yet. He also thanked his fans and his followers for their unending support because according to him without them, he wouldn't be there right now. Aside from his undeniably handsome face, his personality is so pleasant & genuine that makes him even more deserving of the Mister International title. Once again, congratulations to Mister Switzerland. Well-deserved! |
