It was another victory for the Philippines after its bet, Kathleen Paton was crowned Miss Eco International 2022 during a pageant held in Egypt on March 17 (March 18, Manila time).
Kathleen, 24, is an Australian-Filipino model. The 5’8 stunner won Miss Manila in 2018. Aside from winning in the international pageant, Kathlen was crowned Miss Teen International in 2017.
Since the Philippines joined the Miss Eco International in 2018, the country consistently making it to the final two. Cynthia Thomalla first won the crown in 2018. Then, the country made a history for a back-to-back first runner up with Maureen Montagne and Kelly Day in 2019 and 2021, respectively.
Kathleen secured her Top 21 spot for winning the Best in Eco Video award. As a winner of the pageant, she will closely work as a United Nations ambassador for the environment.
Joining Kathleen’s court were: Belgium, 1st runner-up; USA, 2nd runner-up; Spain, 3rd runner-up; and Malaysia, 4th runner-up.
She bested other 40 candidates around the globe.
