The 7th edition of the Mister Global crowned a firefighter from Spain, March 15, 2022.
Miguel Ángel Lucas Carrasco from Spain was hailed as Mister Global at the Mahasarakham,Thailand. The 21-year old newly crowned titlist was born in Toledo and works as firefighter for the Madrid City Council in their country.
In an interview with him posted in the website ReinadoNacionalBelleza, he revealed that he seeks for trying different things to grow as a person. One of which is trying his luck to join a pageant and to represent his country in Mister Global to show what a young person like he is capable of doing.
In Spanish, he said that he wants to be seen by others who would find strengths despite his flaws. He said, “I would love to be able to show an image of the real man, the one who extols his virtues and turns his flaws into strong points for always wanting to improve by accepting our imperfect human reality.”
For his final question in Mister Global 2022, he was asked, “Can there be happiness without sadness, pleasure without pain, peace without war?”
Mr. Spain responded, “I think there is no good or bad, no happiness without sadness, and that is the reason because we are here. We are celebrating Mr. Global after two years of suffering from Covid, and we are showing, all the contestants, the best of us. So after our large [sic] period of suffering, we are showing the best of us here, our virtues… and that is the point of Mister Global… reaching [sic] the best… inspiring people of [sic] around the world.
Joining him among his courts are as follows: 1st Runner Up – Vietnam (DanhChieuLinh), 2nd Runner Up – Korea (Dongwoo Shin), 3rd Runner Up – Venezuela (Juan Carlos Da Silva), 4th Runner Up – Mexico (Gabriel Ortiz). More so, completing the top 10 finalists are Cuba, Thailand, USA, Brazil, and Hongkong.
Before the announcement of the winners, the Mister Global gave special awards: Mister Global Popularity Award, Nigeria; Best in Inspiring Video, India; Mr. Global Photogenic, Cuba; Mr. Global Congeniality, United Kingdom; Best in National Costume, Sri Lanka; Mr. Global Best Model Award, Indonesia; Best Physique, Dominican Republic; and Best Charming Smile, Venezuela.
Meanwhile, Philippine’s bet, MicoTeng, did not qualify in the semi-finalist round.
