The quest for the coveted Binibini crowns ends last night, (April 17) as winners of this year’s pageant were crowned at the Grand Coronation Night at the Big Dome. Maria Mika Maxine Medina, a professional model and interior designer graduate of the Philippine School of Interior Design won the top plum of Miss Universe Philippines 2016 and will be the country’s official delegate to the 2016 Miss Universe Pageant. She was crowned by no less than the reigning Miss Universe, our very own Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach who received a thunderous applause and standing ovation during her farewell walk (as Miss Universe Philippines 2015) from the enthusiastic crowd who witness the historic event.
Other winners of the pageant are crowd favorite Kylie Versoza, Bb. Pilipinas International, Joanna Eden, a second year International Studies student of De La Salle University, Bb. Pilipinas Supranational, Jennifer Hammond, Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental, Nicole Cordoves Bb. Pilipinas Grand International and top favorite Nicole Manalo, Bb. Pilipinas-Globe. Nicole is the youngest sister of beauty queens, Bianca and Kate Manalo . A stellar list of judges coming from prominent leaders in fashion and the arts, business and entertainment that includes actor Ian Veneracion and reigning Miss USA and Miss Universe 2015 2nd Runner-up, Olivia Jordan took the tedious tasks of determining the next batch of Filipinas who will carry-on the winning streak of the Philippines in various international pageants this year. The grand Coronation Night was hosted by Xian Lim and KC Concepcion with Bb. Pilipinas Beauties, Laura Lehmann, Bianca Guidotti and Kris Tiffany Janson.
